Local Credit Union Furnishes Habitat for Humanity Home for Local Family

DELRAY BEACH, FL. (08/1/23) –The iTHINK Community Foundation has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County to “build up” Habitat Partner Families as they begin their homeownership journey by awarding a family with the furnishings for their new home.

The mission of the iTHINK Community Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities we serve.

Building Up is a joint campaign with iTHINK Financial’s Community Foundation and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County. This campaign is geared towards helping “build up” existing Habitat for Humanity families as they begin a journey of homeownership.  

Future Habitat homeowners assigned to a parcel of land, will follow an application process developed by the iTHINK Community Foundation.  Their application committee will review each application.  One of the Habitat applicants will be chosen to have a full home furnished by this campaign and all the partners that participate.  Other families may receive funds towards improving the inside of their home (furniture, decorations etc.).  The Building Up campaign can be shared with our Habitat families as a chance to receive funds to help furnish their home.

The iTHINK Community Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in the state of Florida and the mission of the iTHINK Community Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities we serve.

Stephen Johnson, Director of the iTHINK Community Foundation stated, “We are looking for additional corporate and individual partners to join our efforts to completely furnish one home through furniture donations or donating items towards this year’s Building Up selected family. Any donations are greatly appreciated, and each partner will be recognized and invited to the reveal of the home.”
